On their pathway to success, entrepreneurs or potential entrepreneurs often see themselves as ‘being alone’.

Entrepreneurs are breaking ground, they’re bucking the system and they’re doing the thing that people said they couldn’t do.

Sometimes being out there doing new stuff is the road less travelled, which means there aren’t many people on it. And sometimes it means we feel lonely.

But you are not alone. Anyone doing anything ground breaking or new (in or outside of a ‘normal’ job) is never alone.

Sometimes when we are on that path we forget to stop and simply look up. Not only look up but look around.

See, we didn’t get this far (however far we are) without the help and support of others. Whether it be your web designer, graphic designer, bookkeeper, coach, mentor, friend or family, there have been others, your very own entrepreneur family, bolstering you along the way.

Remember them. Remember how they have shaped us, redirected us, reasoned with us and/ or kicked us up the butt. It’s nice to acknowledge, not only for them, but for ourselves, that we didn’t get to where we are without a network. Entrepreneur may be a lone word, but it is not a lone road.

So, whenever you’re feeling lonely, stop, think and reflect on just how you’ve come to be in the position that you are in today. It wasn’t all you, all on your own.

And this is good to remember for two reasons; if you’re ever feeling lonely and if you’re ever feeling invincible. It’s a sweet reminder to think that you can’t actually do these things on your own. You weren’t the only one 😉
