I was debating one morning about getting up for 6am yoga; the choice between a sneaky little extra lie in and something productive for the body and my long term health. Yoga won in the end.
My housemate noticed I left the house early and said, “Do you always ask yourself in those moments, ‘What would a life coach do?’”
Well, no, I don’t. But I will now!
That statement was like an epiphany. It got me thinking, in situations where we’re facing angst, if we all thought about our heroes or people we looked up to or aspired to be like, shouldn’t we just ask ourselves what they would do? Wouldn’t that give us the answer?
What would Mahatma Ghandi do?
What would Mother Teresa do?
What would Richard Branson do?
What would Yoda do?
What would Bon Jovi do?
What would Mum do?
If you’re moving towards a goal or a vision, apply a personality to it. And just ask, what would that person do to get there?
It’s marvellous, isn’t it?
Who are your heroes and what traits of theirs get you through a sticky spot? Would love to hear from you in the comments below!
PS. If you like what I have to say or think someone else could benefit from this humble little blurb, feel free to ‘like it’ or ‘share it’.
